It depends. As long as a ten year old is actually over weight, and not just wanting to be "skinny", it would be healthy. =]

I understand that your intentions are good but the general population is greatly misinformed about fat. Consuming fat does not make one fat. The culprits here are refined carbohydrates that eventually turn into fat. If you subscribe to UndergroundWellness on youtube, Sean Croxton can explain it in more detail.

I don't to mean bash you or come off and disrespectful and hope we can have a respectful debate about this :)

Yes this is true, all unhealthy carbohydrates, processed foods, and sugars like candies and such turn into fat. However, when one is on a diet, it is best to cut out fats so they can loose weight.
Whole milk does indeed have healthy fat. But should not be consumed to such degree that many people take it to, because any food in bulk is not good for someone. Thus since milk is such a staple in our food, it is better for one on a diet to use 1% or something with less fat. :]

Miss isn't saying to not drink milk, she's saying either cut back on whole milk, or 2%, or substitute with 1% or soy milk, an adult does not need fatty milk. 2% is what you feed your children and it is good for them but not so much for adults who have stopped growing. :)

The evidence is on the back of the milk carton, obviously.
&Yes, healthy fats are necessary. However when a person wants to loose weight, it is necessary to cut out fats where you would normally have them, and have them in smaller sizes. Milk is a very common ingredient in many meals and such, and therefore since it is used in bulk, it should be low fat so that there is not a lot of fat consumed.
This is all being said according to someone on a diet.
