Wedding coming up? Family reunion? High school reunion? You look in mirror in panic and hear yourself say, “Help, I need to lose weight fast!”What are your options, though? Well, there’s the water-only diet–otherwise known as “starvation.” But while that may give you a fast five pounds or so off the scale, your body almost immediately goes into famine mode and turns your metablism down so low you plateau within just days and are losing nothing–while eating nothing. So here you are, stuck–and hungry to boot. So you look at other alternatives and end up overwhelmed and confused. Just how many gazillion diet books can you find online or in your neighborhood mega-bookstore? How many infomercials show you before-and-after photos of fat-turned-thin people who did it in record time with Program X or Diet Y–so “Call now” with your credit card ready? You’re not only overwhelmed. You’ve turned cynical. So are there weight loss approaches out there that can help you lose weight fast–but also safely? Yes, but you need to do some “homework”–some research–using your common sense to “weigh” (pardon the expression) what they offer. What are the marks of a good, fast, safe way to lose weight? It will not lower your metabolism–your fat-burning furnace–but will rather boost it. It will be balanced–not focused on just one or a few foods–and it will keep carbs, protein, and fats in balance. When it comes to fats, it will steer you toward fats that actually help you lose weight. It will be safe, not endangering you in any way or resulting in a huge loss of muscle tissue. It will focus on helping you know what, when, how much, and how often to eat, to burn fat at the fastest rate possible. You won’t have to slap a second mortgage on the house to pay for it. You will see consistent, rapid, gratifying results.
